A note about the lists of recommended CD recordings:
The recordings listed are generally well regarded by music critics and likely to be available for purchase. Listed alphabetically by conductor, they may include a mix of budget and full-price CDs, mixed and boyss choirs, famous and unknown soloists, recent and older recordings, and (as appropriate) traditional and historically informed performances. Detailed information about each CD is provided in links to the record labels and other sources on the Web; many of these include audio samples. In linking these sites, we are not endorsing them as retail sources for the CDs; these links are for informational purposes only.
Conductors picks: For some major works, Maestro Wynkoop has identified a recording which he can recommend to Choral Society members as being in the same realm of interpretation as his own. Members purchasing recordings to aid them in musical preparation may wish to use these versions.
